Well we said that this year was our best yet and the amount of money we are able to pass to our nominated charities just proves that. We are extremely proud to announce that even after we have taken into account the considerable costs of putting on such an event we are able to donate:
- £8,000 to the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance
- £2,000 to the Katharine House Hospice
- £1,500 to the Brackley Food Bank
- £500 to Road Racing Legends
- £500 in small donations to local causes
In addition to this our charities themselves raised over £3,000 on the day through bucket shaking and a few extremely kind donations (thanks Super Sausage and many others) bringing our grand total raised through the Festival to over £15,000!
It was an absolute pleasure to meet up with representatives of our major charities in the centre of Brackley today and present them with handy, pocket sized cheques and snap a few photos for the album. Now we just have to beat this target for next year..
Our thanks go to all of you as by attending the event and (more importantly) buying a ticket you have made this possible. Thank you!
Well what a Festival it was! Record attendance, record ticket sales and a record donation to our charities! We will post up more about the charities shortly once we have finalised the details.
Our estimates are of around 14,000 people in total who attended the event at some point over the 7 hours. Sadly that doesn’t equate to tickets sales as we have under 16’s, people who visit the High Street only etc but it was still a good day for us.
The highlights this year were numerous (frankly there wasn’t an attraction there that wasn’t a highlight in it’s own right) but especial thanks need to go out to Dougie Lampkin, Kevin Carmichael, Road Racing Legends and Flyin Ryan for all putting on an excellent show.
Of course all our club exhibitors, trade stalls, race teams & manufacturers all deserve a mention but I’ll run out of screen if I go through them all. A big thanks! You can check out our 2012 gallery to see what a great day it was.
The committee are all recovered now and starting to plan for next year already. It’s a beast to organise so we are having to start earlier and earlier each year. We will announce the dates for 2013 shortly once we have a few details sorted so watch this space!
Finally the biggest thanks go out to you! Without your attendance and continued support we would not be able to put on the event and continue to raise money for some very deserving causes.
BFoMC are very pleased to announce Flyin Ryan as a main attraction for the 2012 Festival.
Riding a high powered motocross bike, Flyin Ryan and his stunt riders perform huge motorcycle jumps over cars or anything else they can get into the arena. Ryan performs entertaining wheelies with only one hand, one leg, standing up, sitting down, and standing on his seat ,whilst at the same time, keeping the crowd involved via his non stop commentary from inside his helmet.
BFoMC are please to announce their support for Road Racing Legends!

Since early 2005, Road Racing Legends have raised and donated funds to various charities through Fund Raising Events & Corporate Sponsoring. These include Hope House, The Rob Vine Fund, Helicopter Fund (Isle of Man), Helicopter Fund (Powys), The Richie Appeal, Autism Treatment Centre,
After a short break for winter and salty roads the bikes were wheeled out again in Brackley today to present the proceeds of last years festival to the WNAA and Clic Sargent, our nominated charities.

We were very pleased to present the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance with a cheque for £4000 and Clic Sargent with a cheque for £1000, it's just a shame it wasn't warmer and sunnier!
It is thanks to the hard work of all our volunteers, the people of Brackley and the motorcycling community that we can continue to donate to charity. BFoMC 2012 is going to be even better so please continue to support us and help out some worthy causes.
